Britney Spears Workout Routine and Diet

Britney Spears is among my personal favorite female celebs in recent history.

I want to profile the Britney Spears workout routine and diet for a couple of reasons.  First, she’s turning 30 this year (tough to believe, right?) and has never looked better.  Not to mention she’s got two children.   Secondly, she didn’t always look this good.  She has experienced some highly publicized issues with over eating in the past, however has since that time surmounted them and gotten back in amazing shape.  This is significant because a wide range of people can understand this.  Many of the celeb regimes I’ve discussed show a close to faultless lifestyle right from the start.  It’s not necessarily that way for everybody.

In 2007, Britney had trouble with uncontrolled eating.

After the loss of custody of her children, she turned to burgers, chips, candy, and other sweet treats and reportedly got up to 160 lbs.  To put this in perspective, she is 5-4, which means this surely put her within the overweight BMI classification.  She attempted using diet pills and diuretics, yet as we know, this is simply not a healthy solution to dieting.  Of course it didn’t help that she wasn’t a fan of fruits and vegetables.  This can be understandable.  There was a time when I didn’t enjoy fruits and veggies either, but as I began eating them frequently, they’ve grown on me personally.  She also drank a lot which wasn’t helping her situation.

Ever since, she has cleaned up her food intake substantially.

She now eats five small daily meals.  These meals are healthy, small in size, and high in protein.  An example would be something like eggs or grilled chicken.  She has also cut out liquid calories.  This includes liquor which is crucial because too much alcohol suppresses fat burning.  She has done away with beverages like Starbucks frappuccinos which are a few hundred calories a pop.  This can be like the equivalent of a scheduled meal!  Getting rid of refreshments such as this is an easy fix for a person who has them routinely.   Alternatively, you can enjoy a cup of coffee with Stevia, cinnamon, and cream for less than a hundred calories.  She also replaced sugary juices with raw fruits, which are far better for you.  She presently keeps a 1,500 calorie per day diet six days per week and a cheat day once a week.

Britney’s overall exercise routine is very simple.

She enjoys training, seeing it as a “spiritual thing”.  Since she travels a lot, she carries out quite a bit of cardio on the treadmill a minimum of every other day and often every day.  She also includes some mild strength training.  Before her latest tour, she amped up her fitness regimen by incorporating several hours of dance per day.  Without question, the metabolic effect of this helped her shed substantially more calories and get slimmer even quicker.  Dance is one of the most effective routines you can use to increase your metabolism because it taxes your entire body.  This is another instance of how superstars go through prolonged, rigorous training in prep for a role or event.  Most women wouldn’t have enough time to do this and would gain more from a workout routine which utilizes tactical resistance training and cardio exercise for a slim physique such as Visual Impact for Women.
